In 2023, UTRS was selected as part of Forbes new annual list of America’s Best Small Employers. Forbes teamed with an independent research firm and used various metrics to assess 10,000 of America’s best companies with 200 to 1,000 employees, across all states and industries. In the entire list of the top 300 Best Small Employers, only 10 were based in New Jersey and only 11 were in the defense industry. Data from anonymous surveys, social media posts, and job-related websites were combined into a total score.
