In January, UTRS Advanced Manufacturing’s Robbinsville facility hosted a plant tour in collaboration with the New Jersey Technology & Manufacturing Association (NJTMA) and Mercer County Technical Schools. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between vocational/technical schools and local manufacturers by creating a talent pipeline.
During the tour, students and faculty had the opportunity to engage with UTRS AM’s industry leaders, gain firsthand insights into the job market, and understand the skills and knowledge that employers like UTRS prioritize.
By aligning educational programs with industry requirements, UTRS Advanced Manufacturing is helping to ensure that students are job-ready upon graduation. The tour also provided a platform for networking, potentially leading to internships and job opportunities.
